Camaçari

Camaçari is a region of the state of Bahia. As of 2007 its population was estimated at 202,498 people. It is one of the wealthiest regions in the Brazilian northeast. The opening of industrial plants such as the Ford automotive plant in 2000 contributed to the current regional dynamics. It is part of the Salvador city limits.
